Discovery, Need Analysis & Technical Battery Consultation

Discovery Ā· Needs Analysis Ā· Technical Knowledge Ā· Product Pitch Ā· Battery Site Assessment Ā· Rapport Building Ā· Closing

This remains one of my favourite deals I've ever closed. I had the pleasure of working with Frank, a customer based in Wollongong, NSW. As an electrical engineer himself, Frank had a strong technical understanding, making this a particularly detailed and technical conversation.

I guided the discussion from the initial discovery and needs analysis through to electricity bill breakdown, battery sizing, product features and a virtual assessment of the proposed battery location. We explored the technical considerations in depth and worked towards a solution suited to his requirements.

The conversation resulted in Frank purchasing a GoodWe 33.28 kWh G21 ESA battery.

From Quote-Only Enquiry to Signed Solar & Battery Deal

Discovery Ā· Electricity Bill Analysis Ā· ROI Presentation Ā· System Benefits Ā· Closing

Sunil, based in Sydney, was booked for an appointment by one of our setters. Initially, he was mainly looking for a quote and had no firm plans to proceed with solar. Through the consultation, I worked through his energy needs and explained the electricity bill breakdown, return on investment and benefits of the proposed system.

After reviewing the numbers and understanding the value of the solution, Sunil decided to proceed with an additional 7.6 kW solar system with LONGi panels and a 30.72 kWh E-Cactus (WHES) battery system. The recording captures the customer journey from opening and discovery through the in-depth ROI discussion to the signed contract.

Bad/Negative Reviews Objection Handling

Trust Building Ā· Review Objection Handling Ā· Battery Technical Knowledge

Suresh, residing in Melbourne, VIC, was hesitant about online reviews and had questions about the technical aspects of battery systems. I addressed his concerns and explained the relevant technical details to help him make an informed decision.

Following the discussions, Suresh purchased Sigenergy battery systems for two properties: a 40 kWh system for one property and a 20 kWh system for the other. He also left a positive review after the experience.

Sophy had recently purchased a new property in Sydney and had been speaking with multiple sales representatives and solar companies. Having done extensive research herself, she knew what she wanted. I focused on answering her questions with clear, factual information, addressing concerns about cheaper competing quotes while building a long-term professional relationship.

Sophy proceeded with a 14.5 kW solar system with AIKO panels and a 30 kWh Sigenergy battery.

About Me

My Journey Into Australian Solar Sales

I’m Dashrath Chauhan, better known as Nick — a sales professional with 4+ years of experience and a growing passion for renewable energy. My work in Australian residential solar and battery sales has given me the opportunity to speak with homeowners across NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA, understand their energy needs, and help them explore solutions that fit their homes and budgets.

I enjoy bringing together the people side of sales and the technical side of solar: asking the right questions, explaining system options and savings clearly, and working through concerns with honesty. For me, good sales is about building trust, helping customers make informed decisions, and continuing to grow in an industry that can make a meaningful difference to how homes use energy.
